Digitising the Estate – Harnessing technology to drive strategic direction & assurance: Matt Isherwood, Brooke Weston Trust

Across a multi-site education property portfolio there a multitude of tasks, inspections and reports required for compliance. The sheer scale of the information required to provide assurance of compliance can swiftly become overwhelming. By harnessing technology and “digitising the Estate” the efficiencies can be developed which in turn can provide real time assurance to the responsible body.

Deleterious Materials in Buildings: Jonathan Pegg, Atkins

Jon will describe the relationship that Deleterious Materials have with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, and what a client’s duties are with regard to these regulations.

The aim is to give the audience an appreciation of materials that have been used in the past that could in their education buildings and risk that they pose. This knowledge will assist the attendees for new projects with the framework for investigations with existing buildings and new build design.
