Macc, Strategic Lead (Commissioning) and Co-ordinator

Nigel Rose is currently Strategic Lead for Commissioning with Macc, the voluntary sector infrastructure body for Manchester. The focus of his work is on improving the way that the public sector works with voluntary and community sector organisations in formulating strategy and funding with a focus on: community development; co-production; social value; and person-centred approaches. He is the co-ordinator of Greater Manchester Social Value Network and a member of Manchester Community Development Group. He is a very experienced manager with expertise in collaborative approaches to strategy and policy, service design, operational management and person-centred supervision. He is a trained community development worker and a trained community mental health worker. He has broad experience and deep knowledge of the voluntary and community sector particularly in the sectors of health and social care, refugee and asylum-seekers, neighbourhood action and environmental action, and is widely connected within Manchester’s Voluntary and Community Sector.
